Is Thermal Grease needed for P4 Retail Box?

I just ordered the P4 2.66ghz retail box with fan and heatsink included. Do I need to buy thermal grease separeately, or does it come in the retail box? Thanks!

The retail heatsink/fan comes w/a thermal pad on the bottom. It looks like a square piece of pink chewing gum. The thermal pad will be covered by a piece of plastic. It is vital that you REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVER before fitting the heatsink to the CPU.

Unless you plan on severe overclocking, you will be just fine w/the thermal pad as opposed to anything else. Good luck.
