Is there sychronization software like this?

One of my friends has a laptop and a desktop that they want always synchrozied. Is there a sychronization software that will sychronize a folder or drive under both laptop and desktop? Is it built-into Windows.

I've been using Foldershare for about 6 months and it keeps all of my PCs in synch. Its free and now owned by Microsoft (not built into Windows though).
