Is there such thing as an unbiased opinion?

Came up b/t me and girlfriend. I think that all opinions are biased, and she thinks that you can have a unbiased opinion.

a bias is a deviation to one side or another. an opinion is a subjective determination, veering to one side or another.

the aforementioned "unbiased opinion is a fact" statement doesn't stand because of the definition of "opinion". IMHO, an opinion is by very definition biased. you can form that opinion without having a pre-existing bias, but once you have an opinion, you have a bias.

Ask someone who is open minded and they will say that there is no such thing.
