Is there such thing as an S-Video to Firewire Dongle/Adapter?

Would need to be S-Video Female and 1394 Male end. Trying to get my non-DV camera to capture to programs that only work w/DV. And get rid of my wife's All-in-Wonder-Radeon and put in my 8500LE 128. I've searched a few hardware sites, with no luck. I have been told they do exist though. Thanks in advance.

Sony has a media Converter that will do this, it's pricey, about $300 - $400. Best thing to do is if you have a DV camcorder, most can handle video/audio in [same cord as the video/audio out, usually somewhere in the menu to change it to line in], and then it will send it through the firewire cable to the computer.

S-Video is analog.
DV is digital.
