is there such thing as a external crossover unit (HPF/LPF) for a home receiver?

i need something like that for my floor speakers now that i have a sub.

[receiver] --> [HPF] --> [front] [surround]

aye check parts express, they're internal for speaker building, but make em a box and they'll work fine for external applications
 
Yes, there are. Outlaw Audio's ICBM (Integrated Controlled Bass Manager or something like that) can do it perfectly.

how are you ppl with home theater systems separating the frequencies?
or are you not separating the frequencies?
