Is there such a thing as universes?

I don't think so. I think people overcomplicate the universe. There are some pretty compelling theories though.

Well, the term universe is a human definition, so we can change it. M-theory suggests that the 'universe' is acually part of a much larger 'multiverse'

It's part of String theory stuff

Maybe some of this helps... I watched a special on it on TV, not sure about good websites for it.

EDIT: I'm useless (That's my link and the show I watched above)

Have they come to any conclusions on the speed of gravity? Last I heard it was the speed of light wich would hinder multi-universe theories.

I think they proved that it was C, although I never have heard that it would be a problem for m-theory.

Like most things, it is purely symantecs.

When you are talking about "mirror" universes that are impossible to access, I guess you could call it universes. Even if you have multiple universes or multiple branes (membranes), the entire thing together is a "universe."

I think we all understand your question, and you can't answer it since humans created the word.
