Is there such a thing as portable laser printer?

I have search over epson, hp, brother, canon and I dont see a portable laser printer, it doesnt exist does it?

So whats the smallest laser (mono is enough) printer I can get?

For A4 or letter size.

Lasers need to be kept level once the toner has been inserted. Transportation usually screws that up.

I need one because of my work for printing insurance policies on road since im providing mobile serivice. And insurance companies say I have to print those documents using laser (toner) instead of ink.

I'll say it again then: Laser printers aren't portable, as a matter of principle of how they work.

What this actually is about is, you need a printer whose output is unforgeable. Lasers, btw, to a large extent exactly aren't. Toner is easily scraped back off the paper, good fun if you can remove a couple of leading digits from an invoice 😉

Yeah, a dye sub printer might do you as it''s an entirely different tech from lasers with toner, etc. Ink is solid when cool. But I've not seen a reasonably small one since they stopped selling the Alps. Citizen used to sell a wax transfer printer that is similar to dye sub that was about the size of a box of Saran Wrap. Pretty slow and very expensive per output page, but if selling insurance, that's probably not an issue... The lightest one Xerox sells weighs 60 pounds! IDK if anyone else makes them.

A work around might be to use a portable ink jet, then take the pages to your nearest Staples, Office Depot, or Office Max and copy them on their laser copy machines.
