I have a wired wacom tablet that I'd like to make wireless. Is there something that I can wrap up the cord, plug it into then will broadcast it's data wirelessly to a reciever I plug into a computer?

Yes, I know I can buy a wireless wacom. I basically wanted to know was there a way to rig the one I have now cheaply. . .

Their frequently used to turn consoles like Xboxes ect that need internet for online play into wireless devices. At 70$ minimum their very pricey. You'll of course need a wireless router. If you have a router that isn't wireless you'll need one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Store/Su...me=Wireless-AP-Bridges

If you don't need a router with a lot of horsepower though (gaming and web browsing, no P2P, then a basic wireless router would be cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16833156038

If you need more horsepower, can't go wrong getting this and flashing with the the DD-WRT firmware: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16833124190

You need a wireless xmttr that you can plug the Wacom USB connector to. Then it should transmit the wireless signal to a wireless router or receiver connected to your computer.

Wacom already makes a high end wireless 6x8 pad, but it is $249+. So, technically, it is doable. Consider also Bluetooth.

There are wireless USB port extension systems out now, but they aren't cheap and certainly more than a graphics tablet. IOW, you have to REALLY NEED IT to go that route.
