Is there such a thing as a Retail Box IBM Hard drive?

Around 2 years or so ago when i was looking for HDs... i believe mwave had retail IBM GXPs... i think it was the 75GXP... i remember because i came across a thread that actually said the retails did not have the problems of the bare drive... right.
 
I bought three 75GXP Deskstars that were retail 2-3 years ago.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that they were made in the Philippines and the one I still have (30gig) works fine.
 
I think the Empire buys all the retail IBM drives, I saw a bunch of Storm Troopers loading them up onto a few AT-ST's. Asked them what they needed so many for, I just needed 1 or 2. They were pretty hush-hush though, something about a "Secret Weapon" they were building. 😉
