Is there such a thing as a IDE Floppy Drive?

Other than the ls-120? I cant get the regular floppy with the regular cable in my drive to work, so I need a IDE one since USB cost alot heh let me know.

If you mean the motherboard connection, yeah, it's sometimes marked as FDD on the motherboard where the cable plugs into the lead. Have you posted in the motherboard forum seeking help w/ your floppy issue?

hmm, why not try a different floppy drive or are you saying that the m/board floppy controller is kaput?

My friends old system has a floppy that ran off the same IDE cable as the harddrive. Only one ive ever seen.

Maybe it was a harddrive running off the fdd cable! J/K

IIRC fdd = floppy disk drive...

could be wrong tho...

Cable is either plugged in upside down (constant light on on the drive indicates this), or worse, the controller is dead, on the motherboard.

My Epox 8k7a just doesn't like floppy drives at all....even with the latest bios (checked about a month ago).
Sometimes it'll work, sometimes it won't. Likes to say there's bad sectors on the disk when nothing is wrong. Really a PITA.
