So I stumbled upon this Wikipedia article which has a list of average IQ by country.

At first I was like, lulz, top 5 spots are taken by Asians ^_^
But then I looked at the bottom of the list and the 16 countries with the lowest IQs are inhabited mostly by people with a certain physical trait

Should we continue pretending everyone is a special snowflake that can achieve anything he desires no matter his race or religion, or should we accept the scientific facts and give everyone a job according to their capabilities?

This lock is self explanatory.-AT Mod DAPUNISHER

To answer your question in general, yes. Different races do in fact have different traits. They excel and fall short in various areas. People need to stop being so offended and ashamed when such differences are discussed. It's terrible to just hate someone for being a certain race, but there's nothing wrong with discussing differences between them.

i'm pretty sure if you took 10 babies from each country and brought them up with the same education the iq average by country would be a lot more even. The average person living in africa has less access to education and more things to worry about than the average person in hong kong or the US. They likely use their intelligence differently and have lower "book" intelligence because that knowledge is less relevant. you do know we all descend from a group of people who migrated out of africa around 60,000 years ago right? There is not a whole lot of difference between any two humans on earth. 60,000 years is a not a long time on the evolutionary scale.

"giving" people jobs is the worst idea I've ever heard. you let them work towards whatever they want.

Based on statistics, it seems that negroid races are dumbest on average. The depressed sociological status of areas primarily populated by blacks could either be the cause of their lower than average IQs or it could be the result of them.

From what I've seen, the difference isn't that great across all the races though. Just because the average for blacks is lower than for my own race doesn't mean that there aren't plenty of blacks who are smarter than me.

your assumption is asinine. IQ by country would primarily be measuring cultural and societal influences on intelligence--a rating of a country's education system, economic status, etc.

And especially when yoiu start to look at older, more isolated European countries, you don't have much of a heterogeneous mixture of races as you would in other places. Even if you did, you can't really compare citizens at different socio-economic statuses, having gone through separate educational systems along racial lines. Say what you will about some larger failing that "keeps them down," but comparing such data sets and drawing a biological basis for this is extremely pedestrian.

Races share certain traits among various populations; but the laymen tend to read this data along racial lines, b/c they don't understand that traits are shared among populations, for centuries and centuries. It's not so much that one race has a particular trait compared to another b/c of their "race,;" it's mostly a consequence of where that POPULATION has habited over that time period, and how they have adapted to certain demands.

African Americans and those of African descent don't suffer from heart disease more than other races b/c they are black, or b/c they eat more fried chicken; it's because their population developed genetic defenses against the stresses that they faced for thousands of years--Malaria is a big one--which will also lead to weaknesses (heart disease) when mixed in with new environmental pressures (unhealthy diet, sedentary lifestyle, etc.)
