Is there something wrong w/ my video card?

Setup: PNY 8800GT conected via DVI to a Samsung TOC 24 inch.

I also have the latest drivers and also the latest video codecs. The same video video on another computer(my friends) is much clearer. What is the problem. This is driving me nuts.

2D video playback is not as clear as it should be. I see alot of compression and atifacts.

So nothing but video playback looks unusual? You sure this isn't a software issue? Try using the exact same media player and codecs (try VLC player) on both computers and see if there's a difference. Compression artifacts are generally due to the nature of the media and how it was encoded.
