what's a "normal" video in? I think svideo's pretty normal. But as for you, are you talking about rca or coax? Ususally if your videocard has only an svideo out, then its not just svideo but svideo and rca meshed into one output. if the output has more than 4 pins then that's prolly the case, and you can ask your video card maker for an adapter.

I never seem one available in a store, but one is included when you buy a V3 3000.

Well an SVIDEO cable and an SVIDEO to RCA adapter is about $35 at radioshack. Your video card should have included a short wire that had svideo on one end and RCA on the other. If not then you got ripped.

Both my video card and my decoder card had the adaptor, but I lost one and think i have broken the other. If you find any place cheap let me know.

Svideo, as the name suggest, is video only. The extra pins are for composite. But the extra pins are usually placed so that a svideo cable will fit as if it's a svideo out w/o problem. The H+ has a separate outputs for either analog or digital audio.

W/c Radio Shack was this?

I've seen something like that for only $20 at the RSs in my area.

I bought one and returned it a couple of days later, b/c I purchased something equivalent and cheaper for only $4 at a computer show.
