Hi guys,
I was thinking about recommending this RAM on newegg for a friends A64 build but I was wondering why it's so cheap. I thought GSkill was pretty good stuff and 2 512MB PC3200 sticks for $100 seems almost too good to be true for decent stuff. What do you guys think?

Nope...I have heard they are great for the cost....I wasted a lot more for mine and that guy is doing just a hir worse...If should have bought those then 2gb of them and oc's them back up to 400ddr speeds and it would have been great for me..

I've been eyeing that RAM for awhile too and I think it's a steal. CL2 PC3200 for only a tiny bit more than what Corsair/Mushkin valueram is going for these days, and with decent overclocking headroom.

According to the product page on G.Skill's site, it's 2-3-3-6 at DDR400 2.65v and it should do DDR480 at 2.5-4-4-8 timings on A64 platforms. Might not be too much of a stretch to get it to do DDR500 at CL2.5 with some additional voltage.
