Right, the seller gets screwed. The reason for the itunes cards made sense. I wonder if this is similiar.

uhh... yeah, you don't understand that not all stores accept paypal, and not all people have paypal linked to a bank account...


Therefore, if someone has a paypal balance and wants to sort of "cash out", then their best bet it to buy up some GCs and spend them on goods.

What reason?

Overseas people can't buy US itunes cards, so they are forced to pay a higher rate in Euro's. But if they buy a US itunes card for 30 US dollars, it only costs them around 23.50 Euro's, so it works out into their favor even if they are paying above normal cost.
