Never in my life have I seen a retail Guns N' Roses CD without a nasty crosshatched scratch pattern on the data side. What's the deal?

Well...I have a couple that never had them. I ripped them to MP3 a few years ago and they've been sitting in a box since then.

What kind of trend are you talking about? Like, you've gone in and bought/returned 5 in a row from one store and then gone and done the same elsewhere and they all had scratches?

You sure you don't have sandpaper in your CD drive? Or maybe sand in your vagina?

Since you asked I pulled out my Appetite, UYI 1 & 2, Lies and the Spaghetti Incident and the are all "uncrosshatched" .
