Is there really any better culture than the French?

How can you not admire a culture that worships Jerry Lewis and thinks offering up battlefields is sufficient participation in major wars?

20th Century France has been very arogant with its foriegn policy. Their desire to have their own nuclear weapons system, to supplant the US as the dominant power in NATO, etc has left a bitter taste in mouth about the French government (that doesn't say anything about the people). In fact, I think they were right to protest the war, just the way in which they did was inappropriate (and their motives are questionable).

Nope...I've pretty much despised France for the better part of my life, the only reason why I can think of is because there are so many bloody Frenchmen there

Are you serious? 13,000 elderly people died there last summer because of the heat. In many cases, people left their elderly family members home alone to fend for themselves while they went on vacation.
