I have a 4 computer home network. Is there a software program that will allow us to talk and/or send messages to each other without being connected to the www?
 
Yes there is I use winpopup(it comes with windows) it work great.

Just go start | run and type winpopup that will work if you 9x. I do not know if it comes with nt4 or win2000.

Thanks, looks like winpopup may be the answer.
I tried searching the forum and the archives with no success.
Search words like winpopup, messaging, talk, etc don't yield anything useful.
If you have suggestions on how to search more efficiently, I'd love to hear them.
 
Have you tried start/find/popup ? I'd like to know this too. I think there is a file sharing tool in this product as well, plus you can conference others as well.
