Not according to TPU's big ol' basket of games.
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_660_HAWK/28.html

Once both are O.C'd you'll get an unnoticeable few percent/FPS more out of the HD 7870:

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/VTX3D/Radeon_HD_7870_XT_Black/31.html

Yes, we all know the reviews are a number of months old, but its unlikely that anything earth-shattering is going to happen between last fall/winter and now on the performance front via driver optimization for either. Of course the two can have reviews/games cherry-picked to death, but outside of Nvidia or AMD favored titles there's not a whole lot of difference between them (other than price which is favoring the HD 7870 right now).

You mean like 13.8 beta for AMD?

you don't have your facts right.

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/04/01/asus_geforce_gtx_660_directcu_ii_oc_video_card_review/4#.UhEliX_3x8E

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/05/15/asus_radeon_hd_7870_directcu_ii_v2_review/6#.UhEhe3_3x8E

the games where GTX 660 performs well, like Farcry 3, a HD 7870 OC still beats a GTX 660 OC by 5 -10%. In games where GTX 660 performs not so well like Hitman, Sleeping Dogs, the HD 7870 OC is 15 - 20% faster than GTX 660 OC.

Farcry 3 1920 x 1080 Ultra 4x MSAA

GTX 660 OC(1228 mhz) - 32.8
HD 7870 OC(1200 mhz) - 35.6

Hitman Absolution 1920 x 1080 Ultra 4x MSAA

GTX 660 OC(1228 mhz) - 54.4
HD 7870 OC(1200 mhz) - 63.6

you need a GTX 660 OC to get close to a stock HD 7870. once both cards are OC'd there is literally nothing a GTX 660 wins.
I said SOME reviews so yes I do have my facts straight. I am not some noob and you know that.

yeah the ones which don't do actual gameplay benchmarks but use some useless in game benchmarks which don't mean anything.

tpu is a fail site. hardocp, hwc, techreport are the sites which do not use any in game benchmarks. only actual gameplay benchmarking. these sites clearly mention the level being tested with hwc and techreport actually posting videos. anyway there is way too much information on the web in the form of reviews and user benchmarks on ocn and other sites to say a HD 7870 and GTX 660 are on par. HD 7870 easily the faster card.

dude there is enough info to prove HD 7870 is faster. you did not like hardocp data. so you are in denial. just leave it at that.

denial? lol get over yourself. as i said many games dont have built in benchmarks so dont start with your bs excuses if the 660 happens to match or beat the 7870 in some cases. you are the one claiming the 7870 is no match for the 660 and that is not always the case is what i am saying.

lol and I see you use TPU when it fits your argument...

here are a few sites to confirm what I said

http://www.computerbase.de/artikel/grafikkarten/2013/nvidia-geforce-gtx-760-im-test/4/

http://www.hardware.fr/articles/900...760-evga-superclocked-msi-gaming-oc-test.html

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013...ectcu_ii_oc_video_card_review/11#.UhE5n3_3x8E

The ASUS GTX 660 DirectCU II OC traded blows with the Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition card throughout the evaluation, which is also reflected in the current prices. The ASUS GTX 660 DirectCU II OC is a card that comes pre-configured for maximum performance, whereas the Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition should have more overclocking headroom available to it. For out-of-box performance, these two cards are true equals in game play experience.

so you see GTX 660 OC can get close to HD 7870. but HD 7870 OC vs GTX 660 OC has only 1 winner.
