is there any indie rock in the south? my band is planning a tour from michigan to louisianna, but i've heard that nobody listens to indie rock in the south. we want to make sure we're not wasting our time. anybody know? any good spots?

Come through Austin and Houston...Dallas might not be so indie-friendly

Yeah we definitely have our share of local bands down here in Louisiana. When you say indie rock that is kinda vague, and people down here will either like it or not like it depending on if you suck or not. But we have our share of indie fans just like everyone else. The college station around here plays nothing but (or well they used to :|).
