Is there home-design (quasi-CADD) software that you recommend?

I'm not looking at designing a mansion, just a small home.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

depends on your level of expertese is CAD and home design....sounds like you could use something like 3d Architect etc that can be bought at Compusa for around 50.00. then there are things like archicad or architectural desktop...but these are high end cad packs.

I don't want a CADD program. I use Microstation at work but I want a program SPECIFICALLY for home design (that is easy to use).

My budget for the software would be under $100.

Thanks.

There are 4-5 different packages in that price range.

They all do the same with slightly different bells & whistles.

Will update this thread with the package that my daughter has used to design her house.
Bought the package for her sister 3 years ago from Best Buy as a entertainment tool. She loved it so much after designing her dream house that the sister used it to build a house using it.
