PS3 launches November 17th, priced at $499 or $599.

Microsoft will never confirm a price cut for the 360 until the day it happens. Otherwise everyone waits to buy one.

Speculation is that they won't have to price cut this year because they are still $100 cheaper than Sony's cheapest option.

it would only hurt sales if MS announced a price drop for their xbox360. why would anyone buy it if they knew it would be $100 cheaper in a month or so?

also it's pretty gay that my lifer post got locked when I was just trying to drop some knowledge about gaming ...

I don't know, why did everyone pay $1000-2000 when they first came out when we all knew they were shipping more in a few weeks?

At least your thread still exists. Mine vanished without a trace and when I asked about it I was told to be happy I wasn't banned

Rumors are that MS will be doing a bundle at the $300 and $400 SKUs and not a price drop since the PS3 is already more expensive.

I wouldn't expect any kind of announcement until the X06 event in mid-September at the earliest.

Until then, keep your eye out for deals at Overstock.com. People have been getting 360 Premiums from them for $350 and less.

I wouldn't hold my breath on Gran Turismo being a launch game. The article only mentioned that it was running at 1080p and didn't say anything about a launch window.
