Is there FTP software that...

...will automatically retry to connect to a site. I have several sites that I would like to connect to but everytime I try there are too many users. Is there software that will keep trying to connect automatically?

most FTPS have an auto-reconnect feature.


If i was running that server, i'd be pretty pissed off that your hammering my server with requests.

I thought most had that feature. When you find it I recommend keeping retry around 60 to 120 seconds.

I like Bulletproof FTP myself. It has file queing, auto-retry, and all that good stuff. Set your retry to something more reasonable than the default 10 seconds.
There's also Smart FTP, which I think is free for personal use.

Not sure about most FTPs, but I sure as hell have an anti-hammer set up to ban/block anyone who hammers mine 😉
