I want to send flowers to my wife on her birthday. I'm too lazy to go out and buy it myself so I'm thinking I'll order flower service where they deliver the bouquet complete with card and whatever else.

Do you know of such services that you can vouch as reliable and timely. I don't want her to get sunflowers when I specifically ordered lilacs or receive it a week past her birthday. You get my point.

Wait, what do you mean? A service that delivers flowers? Uh, sorry, that's ridiculous. I've heard of a service that delivers mail. I think they are called the Post Office. But no, there isn't one for flowers.

Wrong.

I know there are flower delivery places out there on the net. I think one is called "Save my Ass" or something to that effect lol

Yeah there are a few I know of, proflowers, 1800flowers, etc. - probably a lot more. Usually, going through local florists is cheaper.

may i suggest calling a florist in the area that your wife will be and have them bring the flowers to her. They will be fresh and on time.
What i would also suggest is giving the florist/floral designer there some tips and have them make the arrangement. Tell them how much you want to spend, what colors your wife likes and what flowers to focus on and/or avoid.
It will be the best way.

No, flower delivery service hasn't been thought of yet. I'd suggest you jump right on it and make millions before others get the idea.

I just discovered that my local farmer's market has flowers roughly 2-3 cheaper than at a florist. I plan on using this to great advantage. So far I have purchased one bouquet, for my mom when she visited. $5 for flowers nicer than I've given anyone before.

Teleflora or FTD. Both works, they basically receives the order and just pass it to the local flower stores in that area.

I suggest calling the local flower stores though, most stores do deliver.

If you go thru FTD or Teleflora, you will more than likely get sent to a local florist's ftd/teleflora website. Same pricing as if you call the local flower store yourself but you'll at least get the chance to see what you're buying and write exactly what you want to say in the card.

Many places will do that (they just sent your order to a local florist to deliver). Or you can call your local florist and have them deliver.

Remember: a dozen roses often goes for ~$12, but with delivery can be well over $40. Your lazyness is VERY expensive.

Cut out the middle man. Just find your local florist's web site and you can typically order online.

Yep - I used to work for one. Not a bad job, I just hated delivering the funeral work (casket sprays, etc), because I'd have to setup the flower in close proximity to the deceased. But yeah, there are places that will deliver as everyone has said :)
