As the topic says above,
I am referring to a PC2700

Lets say an Infineon PC2700 and a Kingston PC2700

would it have problems if I try running it together?

There is potential, yes. To avoid it, you need to make sure they have the same timings. If possible, stick to the same brand and type, RAM is touchy enough.

I guess it happens, because people say that it can all the time. OTOH, it is usually is OK, and I have never run into it. For Instance, I have a PNY DIMM with Samsung chips, and a Crucial DIMM with Micron chips working problem free together on my nForce2 mobo, OCed from the 133 Mhz spec to 182. There are DDR standards which should mean that different brands should work together.
