Is there anyway to track what route an e-mail took to get to you?

If I got an email on yahoo and wanted to see if the person sending it was really in the city they claim they are, is there any way to track it. I'm using outlook to view the piece of mail

According to all the TV shows you should be able to figure that out really easily. Even get back to exactly what computer in what random cafe in what random country. Just gotta run the right program. heh. ;)

The route over the Internet your e-mail took should be contained in the headers. Cross-reference that information to http://www.whois.sc and you'll have what you need.
