Is there anyway to search websites with a specific extension?

Hi all,
If I wanted to only search through websites ending with the .edu or .gov extension( for example) would there be anyway to do that?
Anybody know?
 
type this into google:

scripting site:.edu

This will search just the .edu domains for the word scripting.
