Is there anyway to run WPA-PSK on older wireless network cards?

I have a router and I want to run WPA using a preshared key to take advantage of TKIP over just a static WEP key.

My older T40 Intel(R) PRO/100 adapter doesn't support it - is there a software workaround to make WPA work or do i just have to use WEP?
