Is there anyway to monitor who's accessing my shared files (university ethernet)....?

I'm currently sharing a number of video files from my computer over my school's ethernet LAN. Sometimes people will stream the video from my pc (which slows my computer down) instead of simply copying it. Is there anyway to see who is accessing my shared files? And also, is there a way that I can disconnect them, besides logging off the network?

i seem to remember a utility called "netwatcher" with win95/98 that would let you do what you want to do

see if it's hidden deep in your start menu, maybe under accessories...or do a google search and see if you can find it
