Is there anyway to hack 3DMark2001 to perform the Game Test 4 without a Geforce3?

Well, Game test 4 will only run with a fully DX8 graphics card, and there aren't many of them around.

Has anybody figured a way to hack the program to perform the test, as out of general interest I would like to see what the test looks like (and more importantly, what it performs like).

There is a way to emulate it via software, but it runs at 1 frame on a GF2Pro.. so it is not really worth seeing...

So I take it that means vertex and pixel shaders will give a substantial performance hit for old cards.

Man, Doom3 and UT2 better look damn cool to at least make any upgrades worth it.
