Is there anyway I can run 6pin/8pin PCI-E video card with a dual 6-pin PSU?

My 550 watt modular PSU (Antec) has two 6-pin PCI-E power connectors.

I am thinking of getting a HD4850X2 card but noticed it requires a 6 pin and a 8 pin PCI-E power connector.

Is there anyway I could use this video card? Any adapters available?

You can apparently just short out the last 2 pins I think. Google it and read very carefully before you attempt it though.

or, use a 2x molex to 6-pin PCIe adapters, which should come with your video card.

Guess i shoulda linked to the molex ones also, just in case you'd rather use one of those and dont have one.
