Is there anyway I can recover a Yahoo Messenger transcript?

Is there anyway I can recover a Yahoo Messenger transcript? I logged off the messenger and forgot to copy the conversation I had.

Not unless messenger has a log file/creates logs.

right....Contacts > message archive....but only if it was turned on

if you didn't, perhaps the other party did?

It should still be saved. At least it would be in the latest versions of YM.
When you go into the options, also extend out the archive date if you are big on going back over older messages.
