Is there anyway I can install IE 5 without connecting to the internet?

I'm having major problems with connecting to the internet to install software and running liveUpdate for NAV. I need a newer version of IE to run LiveUpdate, so I download the setup file from microsoft's site and proceeded to setup the program. Every time I run it, it tells me I need to enter settings for a proxy, but I'm not connecting to a proxy, and I'm not behind a firewall or anything. I have a direct connection, T3.

LiveUdate also gives me similar results, but I've check all the settings and there's nothing indicating that it should connect to a proxy on either the windows or the LiveUpdate side of things.

I'm hoping that I can find a setup file that doesn't need to connect to the net for IE 4 or 5.

Sounds like you need to configure your DNS and LAN properties/addresses/domain,What is your operating system? IE 5 is included with Win 98 SE and can be installed from the setup on the disk.
