gonna throw in a consensus vote. chicks usually don't dig gadgety gifts from their significant others. your best bet is flowers; it might seem cliche to you but it's a safe move. a dinner or something would be nice.

hell, here you go: give her flowers and cook her dinner.
meh... not really. flowers die.
A piece of jewelry will usually be best. Not even anything expensive, just something that she likes (and fits her personality).
When she wears it, she will think of you.
oh alright. i'm gonna have to suggest a pen with LED lights then.

Dude, that was for Valentine's day.

awww.... come on now.... When it come down to it.... it really is the thought that counts. 😉
that was such a cute honest question. It really was.

The ONLY reason Lola said that was because she gave me a LED pen for Christmas one year.

😱

I GOT IT FREE AND IT WAS A STOCKING STUFFER IN ADDITION TO OTHER GIFTS!!!! plus it was cool. 😱

*waits as iamwiz82's heart slowly begins to break*

See this is a perfect example of why men and women are different.

A guy would like a tool that helps him do what he likes.

A woman thinks the tool is a hint with some underlying meaning (ie, cook more).

but it is😉

SHHHHHHHHHH. :|

LOL! come on now....

Get her another gift just in case. If she likes the food processor, you're golden. Save the backup gift for next year. If she doesn't like, whip out the other gift and say that the food processor was just a joke. Just make sure the other gift is not an iron.

It isn't hard. (Not at first, at least)
Have the sales staff model some of them for you.
Do NOT ask if they come in children's sizes.

ok, why? they know you are buying them for a girl, its not as though they are assuming that you are going to wear them yourself.
There are always a lot of men there buying stuff for their s/o's too.
The ladies working there see it all the time... clueless guys looking to find a nice gift.
finally, there is always victoriassecret.com
tons of stuff, check fatwallet for any coupons too.
Be a man and go in to the store! You will both be happy!

By the way, if you ever do end up getting a food processor make sure it is at least an 11 cup model. Cuisinart has a new design out. I have one of them but I am not sure I like it as much as the older design. Kitchen Aid has a really sweet one that I would have gotten if I had not found such a fantastic deal on the Cuisinart. (It was mismarked and we all knew it was mismarked but they honored it anyway. 😀 )

Uh... yeah. Don't do the above. Get a second gift and give it to her. Not a backup gift. And if you do the above for the love of mankind do not say "that was a joke". Unless she's 4 years old she won't fall for that.

I reallllllllly wanted the GEorge Foreman grill for years. My boyfriend thinkts it's ridiculous to buy kitchen gadgets as a gift for me even though I tell him it's what I want.

A few years ago, he got me the Foreman grill/rotisserie set and while playing guessing games of "what did you get me for xmas," i actually guessed the grill. So he got cranky, returned it and got me diamond earrings instead.

I love the earrings, but I still want my grill 😀

Wow, that guy really believes in the whole it's not the cost that matters thing. You could probably sell diamond earrings and buy 20 grills. Unless they were diamond in quotes. Like so: "diamond".

There is a store in Oakridge mall in San Jose, California that I used to go to and by gifts called Things Remembered It has all kinds of neat gifts like aromatheapy kits, lava lamps , Thermometers in those water filled tubes with the floating temp indicators(very neat gift), wind chimes, etc.. . Check it out. Give your girlfriend something she wouldn't expect.

Is that the really expensive mall with Gucci and Diesel and those stores?

I don't know it has been a while since I've been there

You might as well bring your laundry downstairs, point at her, then point at the washer, loudly shouting, "Babe, the laundry isn't just going to do itself!" The ladies LOVE cooking and cleaning, don't let 'em fool ya...
