Is there anything that goes together better than Termignoni and Ducati?

I can't wait until tomorrow morning to start wrenching on my bike. 😎

Installed! Took me about 2 hours. I love this bike!

What exactly is a slip on? Does it not get clamped to the header pipe? Is it somehow less prestigious than a fully welded exhaust? Most cars use bolt on or slip fit mufflers aftermarket as well.

Just trying to figure out the biker terms here. </literbike>

A slip-on is just a simple muffler replacement, the rest of the system remains stock. Takes about 5 minutes to install. That's what I meant about not wrenching.

I don't know if it's more "prestigious", but a full system with a performance header will usually perform better, and can take a few hours to install, depending on the bike. Removal of bodywork, radiator, oil cooler, headers, etc.

It is a slip on but it comes with a performance air filter and an ECU which requires removal of the tank to get at. Removing the tank on a normal bike is pretty easy but on this bike it is a bit more labor intensive. The shiny bit you see on most bikes that is the tank are actually thin plastic painted covers on my bike. Under those covers is the air intake, the battery and the gas tank. Ducati dealers charge 4 hours labor to fit this bit of kit.

Slip on is exactly what it sounds like. It is a slip fit muffler.

The stock header pipes are actually fairly well crafted and not restrictive. The stock muffler on the other hand is. It is also quite heavy.

The mufflers are on but I still have to get the tank off and get the ECU and air filter replaced. I took the db killers out to see how loud it is without them but I'll probably install them after.

These are straight through, very little restriction.

Getting the pipes fit was easy.

Want to ride fast keep stock pipes.
Loud pipes just scream literally from miles out I'm speeding please arrest me.

I put the DB killers in. It is way too loud without them.

Had to have the dealership spend 30 minutes tuning it but it runs so much smoother now than it did with the stock exhaust. I rode to the dealership with the pipes open and holy crap is it loud.

Awesome. These slip-ons are a must compared to the boring stock mufflers. That's the 1100, right? I test-rode the 796 yesterday and it was nice. So maneuverable, even compared to my SV650.

Yep, 1100 Evo. I've owned it for almost 2 years now.

I've ridden the 796, the Streetfighter 848, the Diavel and the Multistrada 1200 S. Love the Streetfighter 848 and the Multistrada. I could own either of those bikes.

No BD KIllers for me. People know I have arrived..

Thump.... thump... thump... Clankity clickity clank clank..Thump thump thump

The bike seems to run cooler now too and the new ECU frees up another 500rpms.

Throttle response is a bit smoother now as well. I think that stock the bike runs pretty lean to comply with Euro emissions but this setup cures that.
