Is there anything Office 97 apps cant do with Office XP?

I have Office 97 on this work computer and I plan to upgrade it to Office XP. Only problem is I am worried that for some reason, the reason why they haven't already upgraded the system is that something on this computer only works with Office 97. Office XP should be backwards compatible, right? Also, the majority of the documents that we receive from our owner is made in Office XP. I should be ok, right?

The only problem I've ever seen is certain versions of ODBC drivers not working with Office XP. If you're using Microsoft Access to get to external data sources that are ODBC compliant this could be a problem.

Otherwise it should work fine.
