Is there anything like Verizon BroadbandAccess that also does voice?

We like the Verizon BroadbandAccess service which uses a PCcard cellular modem to get decently fast network access from a laptop. But it doesn't do voice. I thought there might be a service which was similar that also would let you use a Bluetooth headset to make/receive voice calls with the same PCcard device, but I can't find anything like it.

Does anyone know of a service like that? Or is there some technological reason it's not done?

Are you talking about Verizon's EV-DO service? Why can't you use something like Skype with it?

Yes, EV-DO. Something like Skype might be possible, I don't know. That's worth looking into. I don't know anything about Skype other than it's VoIP. If it can make/receive calls to/from regular phone numbers, that would do it.

Yes, it does just that.
