so I get out of work tonight, start heading toward the parking garage, and realize that I don't have enough money to pay for parking.
I head on over to an atm across the street from my office, go through the standard stuff, and right after I hit the "give me my money" button, a message pops up "transaction denied, card withheld."
wtf.
so I call the 800 number listed, to find out how to get my card back, and they're like, "go f yourself. it's going to get destroyed in the morning and there's nothing you or I can do about it."
is there any type of recourse I can take against this bank for destroying my ATM card for no reason? :Q
I've had machines eat my card before, but I've always been able to call the bank and either pick up the card in the morning or have them mail it to me. this seems like an absolutely rediculous situation where they destroy every stuck ATM card every morning.
now I'm down to $11 until I can get a new atm card. and of course, I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday with my doc who only accepts cash for the copay :|
tonight was the first time I actually screamed at and cursed off a customer service rep.
it's a shame too, because I *had* considered switching to this bank. with it being across the street from my office, it's so convenient, and those $2 surcharges sucked.
