Is there anyone (age 17-19) who could take my sister to Homecoming?

The situation hasn't changed much from the time I posted this thread.

*sigh*

My sister has pretty much given up (after she tried to befriend various people in various cliques and was rejected... either forthright or indirectly), and resigned herself to "loner" status. This breaks my heart, because she's a beautiful, funny, sweet, smart girl... I think she's too mature for her age, which probably explains why she doesn't get along with most of the shallow, clique-y people at her school.

She wants to go to Homecoming (coming up in one week), but she doesn't have a date... and she doesn't want to go alone (like I did for my high school Homecoming).

This might be kinda weird, but you guys are generally nice and trustworthy... if you, or anyone you know age 17-19 in the Dallas area, would like to take my little sister to her senior Homecoming, please let me know. I'll pay for your cover, and all you would have to do is take her out and show her a good time.

Thanks in advance... please PM me if you're serious about this, and I'll be forever in your debt. I'll also be flying back home to Dallas the first weekend of October, and maybe I can treat both of you to lunch or dinner as a big thank you when I'm out there. :)

EDIT:

Yes, my sister knows I'll be "asking this for her." I told her I'd ask my friends (college, etc... ATOT would be the "etc" :) ) if any of their friends or brothers or sisters would be up to take her to Homecoming on a friendly basis, and she said thank you, that would be the best present ever if I could find someone nice to take her.

And... after reconsidering, I won't send her pic right away. I'll provide you with her e-mail addy, and you can talk to her... if she decides to send you her picture, that's her decision.

You should know better than to start a thread like this.

I have a feeling you may have a WIDE selection from which to choose from. ;)

Heh, I'd do it for sure, if I had the money. Might be kind of fun.

Unfortunately, I am a poor college student who can barely afford to live as it is :p

So, unless you're willing to pay for plane tickets, et all... sorry :p

Hey man.

Sorry, am not in the Dallas area. But I think what you're doing is really a sweet kind thing to do. I know I would do that for my sister.

I hope it works out for her, best of luck.

And just always let her know that you are there for her, and that while sometimes it may seem the whole world doesn't like you, there's 99.9% of the world you still have yet to meet.

Good luck again.

I'm 20 and in Tulsa but I could use a road trip. :) But, I get to be a groomsman on the 3rd!

BTW, I'm sorry that she's having such a rough time. At least shes got someone she can talk to about it.

I'd do it - but there are two problems - I already have a homecoming date for that weekend, and I'm socially inept (Not to mention hairy).

I'll ask around with my friends in the Texas area (This is Plano, isn't it?) and see if I can't find her some high class dude to make all the snobby bitches turn their heads away from their "boyfriend"'s crotch.

If your sister looks anything like you do I'll be there in about 5 minutes! LOL j/k I live in Tulsa so it would take longer than that ;)

Aye, that's terrible for your sister. Over here, i think people tend to be a little nicer. Knowing my friends, we'd help her around if she was the new person around town.

People at her school suck :|

I'll call her after I get out of work, and will post all the details (date, etc.) by tomorrow.

I just remember how difficult high school was, and hopefully this will have a "Chicken Soup for the Soul" ending. When she calls me and we talk, she says she's "fine being alone without any friends, all I need is my family"... I can hear the sadness in her voice, and it kills me. :( I love my little sister, and I hope something works out... if you really are interested, please PM me and I'll send you her picture and e-mail so maybe you can start talking to her.

Dang...:(

If she was in the Bay Area, I'd find someone in a heartbeat.

High school sucks.
