The situation hasn't changed much from the time I posted this thread.
*sigh*
My sister has pretty much given up (after she tried to befriend various people in various cliques and was rejected... either forthright or indirectly), and resigned herself to "loner" status. This breaks my heart, because she's a beautiful, funny, sweet, smart girl... I think she's too mature for her age, which probably explains why she doesn't get along with most of the shallow, clique-y people at her school.
She wants to go to Homecoming (coming up in one week), but she doesn't have a date... and she doesn't want to go alone (like I did for my high school Homecoming).
This might be kinda weird, but you guys are generally nice and trustworthy... if you, or anyone you know age 17-19 in the Dallas area, would like to take my little sister to her senior Homecoming, please let me know. I'll pay for your cover, and all you would have to do is take her out and show her a good time.
Thanks in advance... please PM me if you're serious about this, and I'll be forever in your debt. I'll also be flying back home to Dallas the first weekend of October, and maybe I can treat both of you to lunch or dinner as a big thank you when I'm out there.
EDIT:
Yes, my sister knows I'll be "asking this for her." I told her I'd ask my friends (college, etc... ATOT would be the "etc" ) if any of their friends or brothers or sisters would be up to take her to Homecoming on a friendly basis, and she said thank you, that would be the best present ever if I could find someone nice to take her.
And... after reconsidering, I won't send her pic right away. I'll provide you with her e-mail addy, and you can talk to her... if she decides to send you her picture, that's her decision.
