I always thought it would be funny to put a BSOD or scandisk screen shot as someones splash screen and watch them get pissed off.

a BSOD screensaver already exists, but it sucks: It doesn't look realistic at all. I think BSODs halt the system and all it's processes, so it's theoretically impossible to take a screenshot of it. Maybe use a nice digital camera w/ good resolution, and clean up the image a bit to make it realistic looking.

What someone should do is just get an ansi art drawing program and make on up, then take a screenshot. It would be SO easy to do, its just I don't remember any ansi art programs back from when I went on BBSes all the time

I'm not sure if it would work but you might be able to do it with 2 VIVO video cards get the BSOD on the video out and snap the pic on video in.
