Is there any way to turn a flash file into an .mpg or .avi?

if i see an animated flash file, or make one myself, is there any way to make it into an mpg or avi?
 
Yeah, just open it in Macromedia Flash 5 and look around under the file menu to export as a .avi. I know it's there, i've used it before, just can't quite remeber where.
