Is there any way to stop Magnetic Interference coming from a case fan?

Before you say BS, there is no way a case fan is interfering with my monitor, first let me tell you that its not a tower case, but an Apple eMac which is an all in one design with the computer and monitor in one box.

I decided that the stock fan in the eMac was too loud for my tastes (even after a Zalman Fanmate), so I looked for ways to replace it. Unfortunatly, the fan design is non standard (it looks like THIS ). However, I found a website that shows that it is possible to cut out the stock fan from that non standard chassis, and stick in a new one. So I went and purchased one of the quietest fans available, the 120mm Nexus, and replaced the stock fan.

The project went well, and the fan is exceptionally quiet - I can't hear it at all! The only problem now is that my monitor image is vibrating! It would seem that this new fan is emitting lots of EMI or Magnetic waves or something, and since the fan is about 2 inches away from the CRT neck, its causing the image to shake. Is there any known way to stop this? I really don't think so, but I just had to ask, because I would really hate to get rid of this quiet fan, and replacing the old one back would be very difficult. Does anyone have any ideas?
 
You could try mu-metal shielding (google for it), but it's expensive and might not work. It's also possible you have a loose/noisy power connection to the fan.

But it's hardly surprising that you put a nonstandard modded fan in an enclosed area right next to a CRT and you got interference. I'm sure the Apple fan was carefully designed/chosen and placed to minimize any such interference.
 
Remember Physics 101? Faraday cage is what you're looking for.
It'll impact the CFM however...

Maybe better to use ducting (move the fan away so it won't interfere, then use an airduck pipe to channel the air to the target)

DUCT TAPE!!! Im a newb, but I heard one the news that people line the inside of shopping bags, and they can steal stuff without the alarms going off. The antitheft strip is magnetic.
