Is there any way to scan my media files for DRM(malware)?

I've been buying a lot of music online lately, and in my opinion DRM is just a form of malware attached to media files to prevent Fair Use.

I used to acquire my music solely from p2p programs, which mostly distribute mp3s. Since there is a huge difference in sound quality between mp3 and lossless(wav, flac), I believe that due to the lossy nature of mp3s, they should be meant to be free. Because of this, I will only pay for CD quality lossless audio such as wav.

Are there any programs out there than can scan the wavs that i buy to make sure that they do not contain DRM? I love being able to support my artists and labels buy buying CD quality audio from online stores, who get the mastered wav files directly from the record labels. However, I will discontinue to do so if I find out that those audio files I purchase contain malware such as DRM.

Any suggestions?

You can't remove DRM unless you burn it to a CD and then rip it. And there are plenty of sites that sell lossless DRM free media files that you are looking for.

The only site I am currently buying music from is beatport.com, who also owns beatsource.com. These sites only sell the music I listen to, and also offer all of their music in lossless wav format. Is there any way to tell if these sites put DRM in their wavs short of writing their customer service department?

The only way I would consider buying music from another online store is if I did find out that there is in fact DRM in the music sold from these stores. The main reason for this is that most of the music I listen to is underground electronica("techno"), and is only found for sale at these stores.

I'm not really interested in having to go through the trouble of removing DRM from my music if it's there, but I will not patronize any store that includes DRM in their music.
