Windows Media Center Edition is really starting to make me mad. I cannot find any documentation on this software and thus it is very difficult to use. Since it is a MS app you cannot use logic.
I do not understand the strategy it uses for getting information from music files. It seems totally random. I have all my tags in order yet I get multiple entries for artists and then I cannot delete the database entries without deleting the files. This is getting frustrating. I found some errors in my tags in some cases but once corrected they stayed messed up in MCE's database and even editing the file info inside it did not resolve the issue.
There has to be a resource where I can actually read how this POS works. I am setting this up for my dad and if I cannot use it he will never be able to use it.
