Is there any way to queue songs in Winamp?

Say I have a huge list of songs loaded, in no particular order (they're full albums).

Is there any way to queue songs so I can specify the next song I want to play without altering the play list?

For example, right now I have shuffle on, but if there's a song I want to hear I would like a way to say play this song next, then return to shuffle.

That'd be a really nice feature. There could be a little pop-up window like the minibrowser that you could drag songs into and then click an "override playlist" box. But no, there's no way to do that if you want to leave shuffle on and not screw up your playlist.

I was thinking a nice right click, add to queue or something of that nature.

Maybe I should suggest it to them.

It works that way with my Winamp (ver 2.80). If I right click on an mp3 one of the menu items is Enqueue in Winamp.

I think he's talking about if its already in the playlist

Yep I misunderstood, sorry. Odd that you can go through the playlist and control select items and delete or move them but when you say play it insists on going down the list ignoring the highlights.

You could just create another playlist, copy the songs you want to hear into there, switch to straight play, and play...Then go back to the original playlist, of course.

The only real way I think is to play it manually.

I only just got it at work late on Friday, but I did notice that you could have multiple playlists with winamp3. Maybe something to look at?

I just started using Winamp3 and haven't tried it yet, but if you right click on a song in the playlist there is an "Enqueue/Dequeue option....gimme a minute, I'll see if it does what you want.

*Edit - Nope doesn't do what you want....you can go through your playlist and set the order of songs by enqueueing (sp?) the songs you want to hear, but it goes to the next song in the list after it's done w/ the queued songs.
