Watch SpongeBob Squarepants. He frequently stings his tongue with jellyfish.

Yeah I purchased that mouthwash for canker sores. I used it about an hour ago.. and it got better for about 15 mins and pain came back.

I am going to try cloves and warm water with salt.
That's about as good as it's going to get. At least that's been my experience.

I tried the mouthwashes, at least the ones which would allegedly help them heal faster.

They'd usually last about 2 weeks.

Getting older, I started up regularly drinking at least 10oz of orange juice each day for breakfast. The incidence of the ulcers has gone down substantially, though they still last at least a week when they do show up.

Scurvy for 20+ years? o_O

Warm water with salt - I've heard of this as a cure or remedy. All I ever experienced with it was an immediate stabbing/piercing/burning sensation, followed by wanting to rip my mouth out of my skull so it would stop hurting, followed by more burning after spitting it out, and the overpowering salty taste.

Cloves: No idea, never tried that.
