Is there any way to mass-forward hotmail emails to another account?

if you're going to gmail - use a program like hotmail popper to get them into thunderbird or the native hotmail support in outlook, OE, etc - then use the new program that allows you to upload mails to your gmail folder (google it).

edit - here's the link

Sort-of on the subject, is there anyway to automatically forward hotmail to another email account? my friend wants to start using a different email address for all of his mail and he needs to be able to forward any mail he gets at the old hotmail address. I'm pretty sure the main reason is because hotmail is way too bloated to use in Kuwait, which is where he is currently stationed.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you were referring to... but towards the bottom page of the Web site that lizardboy suggests, the guy says
If you'd like to auto-forward your hotmail messages to Gmail, give GetMail a spin.
He also has suggestions for forwarding Yahoo mail, and a place where you can access you Gmail from a POP 3 client.
