Is there any way to mark out the bad pixel in a digital camera?

There is one bad pixel on my canon S10's CCD. Anyway to tell the camera not to use that pixel? It's kind of annoying that ever picture has the white spot at the same place. (although this single pixel defect can be fixed easily by photo manipulation software).

I'd be highly surprised if a defect pixel on a CCD is not grounds for RMAing.

Because, yes, they are not only annoying, they falsify the results.

That's very different from a defect pixel on an LCD

How long have you had the camera? Most manufacturers warranty the CCD for less time than the rest of the camera. Check you warranty.

Thanks for the replies.

I've had it for a little bit less than a year, the thing is that I just noticed the defect recently. Then I went back to the old pictures and took a closer look, yep, every single picture has this little white spot.

Should I RMA it? How does Canon handle this? smoothly? Any experience?
