Is there any way to make "tracks" out of one big 74min wav file when burning to CD?

I have a 74 minute trance mix that I want to burn, but I would like to create "tracks" to be able to skip to certain points in the mix. I don't want to have to fast forward to get to a certain point, and i don't want to listen to the whole album every time.

Is that possible? I use Nero.

I would just take an icepick and a magnifying glass and put a scratch everwhere you wanted a pause. ;)

I'd use some shareware audio editing tool like Cool Edit 2 to split the file first, then let Nero convert them to MP3 on the fly while burning.

Please don't convert to MP3 yet again after converting to WAV and chopping with a wave editor. That will degrade the sound quality.

Just use nero wave editor to open them up, chop them up, then place them into track on nero. Easy, right?

I consider it extremely easy to load up a 74 minute MP3 file in Soundforge, convert it to WAV, place markers to determine tracks, copy each one and paste to new, then save each individual track as WAV and burn in Nero. Of course, I have the software and the experience, which may make a slight difference. :)
