Ginger like to pounce on my feet in the morning as I stretch. It's a good thing I have heavy blankets, cause she really goes for it and it hurts when she gets just one layer of blanket between my toes and her teeth.
BTW, that's a cute kitty.
And do not de-claw them.

very well said - kitty play time which means "I have a instinct to learn how to kill"
If she bites/scratches when playing then simply stop playing or play with her with a toy. Do NOT allow her to bite/scratch you. Sure it may be cute, but is not a behavior you want to instill in your kitty.
